By your side through every moment of your journey into parenthood

Who We Are

  • Three Moon Motherhood is a Michigan-based registered nonprofit dedicated to expanding equitable access to perinatal support for families during pregnancy, birth, and the transition into parenthood. We recently obtained our 501(c)(3) status, and our mission centers on providing holistic, family-centered care alongside free, accessible community education that empowers parents with knowledge, confidence, and support. Led by a team of passionate and highly skilled perinatal professionals, we strive to influence more positive birth stories and ensure more families feel genuinely supported through childbirth and beyond.

  • We seek to de-medicalize birth wherever possible. Not by rejecting necessary medical care, but by challenging the routine pathologization of a process that is often physiological. This approach is rooted in improving outcomes and reducing unnecessary interventions. The World Health Organization (WHO) states that optimal cesarean rates for improved maternal and neonatal health outcomes fall between 10–15%, yet the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that the U.S. cesarean rate was 32.3% in 2023 — more than double that range. These patterns disproportionately impact Black birthing people, who continue to face significantly higher rates of maternal morbidity, mortality, and surgical birth due to systemic inequities in care. We envision a birth culture that prioritizes presence over procedure, informed choice over routine intervention, and community support as essential to safer, more equitable outcomes.

  • We envision a world where every family feels supported, informed, and held throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. A world where care is rooted in dignity, choice, and community connection.

  • "I am beyond grateful for Noelle and Hanna and the support they gave me throughout my pregnancy and postpartum journey. From the very beginning, they guided me through preparing for birth, labor, and breastfeeding in a way that felt empowering, calm, and never overwhelming. Hanna made my birth experience genuinely enjoyable which I didn’t even know was possible. Because of her support, I felt informed, confident, and supported in every decision I made during labor. I never felt rushed, unsure, or alone. Her presence brought so much peace and reassurance during one of the most important moments of my life. Noelle made sure that my breastfeeding journey started off successfully, which was incredibly important to me. She went above and beyond by coming to my home, properly sizing and fitting me.. something that honestly made a bigger difference than the lactation consultant at the hospital. Her care, attention to detail, and dedication gave me the confidence I needed during those early days. Together, Noelle and Hanna provided the kind of care every mother deserves: informed, compassionate, and deeply supportive. I truly could not have asked for a better team and will forever be thankful for the role they played in my birth and postpartum experience."

  • “Hanna is amazing. She was so supportive during my labor. She made me feel so taken care of and honestly made me feel safe. I could trust she was going to be my voice when I needed. Hanna was there for me shortly after I told her to come to the hospital. I had also gotten transferred to a different hospital and she was so willing to travel to the new hospital and continue to be a big support. Hanna also wasn’t just very helpful to me, but very helpful to my significant other as well. Hanna made what had turned into a scary situation, into a not so scary one knowing she was there for no matter what I needed. Her nurturing personality is what makes her one of the best. 100% would recommend her to anyone!”

  • “Noelle was very professional and personable. From the moment we had our initial consultation she really listened and made sure our wants and needs were met. She was also very resourceful and knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable and confident. Noelle answered all of our questions and concerns with in a timely manner. She’s very calming and advocated for us when we were unable. She brought essential oils with diffuser, a portable fan, a bluetooth speaker, little battery candles, and other little small indulgences to make a calm and comfortable environment during labor. She was so supportive and helped with us with counter pressures during contractions. She helped talk me through pain and reassured breathing techniques so I didn’t panic and lose focus. She really went above and beyond and made the birthing process much easier! She’s still been so supportive postpartum, by being available for visits, checking in and making sure we’re all doing well! We will definitely be using Noelle for future pregnancies!”
